She especially likes teaching about God’s kingdom -- how we can make visible and actual God’s kingdom in our world, seeking to do God’s will as Jesus taught us, “on earth as it is in heaven.”

Marcus is always welcoming people. He welcomes people, wherever they come from, to his home, his school, his church and community. He finds out about them, their families, their countries, and tries to make them feel at home here.

The Woman Who Loves Children

Babette is a woman who loves children. She loves holding them, hugging them, feeding them, teaching them. She rocks them and bounces them, plays with them, prays with them. She thinks everyday, with children surrounding her, how Jesus told the crowd, “Let the children come…”

Whatever is wrong, Pablo can heal you -- almost any trouble at all. If your body is sick, your heart, or your mind, let Pablo lay his healing hands on you, and somehow you’re better. God works through those hands. Even soul sickness is lifted when God, moving through Pablo, touches you.

Rosa is a girl who loves to help others, especially when the others are elders. She helps them with shopping, with doctor’s appointments. She writes letters for them and translates when they need it. She brings them to church if they need help getting there; she’s a friend who is like a daughter.

The Man Who Prays

Derrick is a man who’s always praying. Whatever he does, wherever he goes, he prays to God to direct him and help him. Derrick knows well how prayer can change everything, so he prays to God for other people. And he praises God in everything – good fortune, misfortune, no fortune at all. “Thank you, Jesus!” prays Derrick, and people feel grateful.

The Girl Who Loves to Read

Aminah is a girl who loves to read. She reads to herself and out loud to others – to those who can’t read yet or can’t read anymore. She reads books she likes or others want to hear, like the word of God and stories for living.
